Global action days (9- 15 November ). Day 4: The day that we connected food miles with climate change....

We love fruits and Veggies!
But it was today that we connected food miles and the estimated amount of CO2  emited  in the air when they "fly" to Greece...
It was then that we decided to grow our own vegetable garden, not only for healthy eating, and  increasing  green in our school, but also for acting local (support local farming) in order to join the fight against climate change!

      

Global action days (9- 15 November ). Day 3: let's take some action!

After learning about the climate change,its causes effects an future impact  we decided to take action. ..

First we created a motivational poster to raise  awareness to  our parents,neighbors and local community....

Next, we decided  to grow our own vegetable  garden in order to reduce food miles, CO2  and go local!

We also  add some new plants ( Cretan herbs)  to our botanic garden....we had to prepare the soil, add compost and dig some holes.... 

"dirty" work but we enjoyed every single minute'!
